How each station is timed and structured, what the follow-up questions are for, and how to use the platform to get the most out of every session.
Most stations on this platform follow the same structure. You get 2 minutes to record your opening response — enough time to attempt all three steps of the framework for that question type (for a Situational station, for example: validate perspectives, explain your actions, then why it matters). Try to genuinely cover all three steps in your opening response rather than deliberately holding one back for later.
After your opening response, the interviewer asks two follow-up questions, each with 2 minutes to respond. These aren't a sign you missed something — real MMI interviewers commonly ask follow-ups even after a strong answer. Each follow-up targets whichever step of the framework came through weakest or least developed in what you said, so treat it as a chance to go deeper on that part rather than a separate, unrelated question. Your opening response and both follow-up answers together count as one complete response — a step you properly develop in a follow-up is credited the same as if you'd covered it well from the start.
Roleplay and Communication Roleplay stations work differently: instead of an opener and fixed follow-ups, you have a live back-and-forth conversation with an AI character, and you're assessed on how you sustain your approach across the whole exchange rather than through fixed steps.
